Together We Can Impact Nations

Social Impact Investment
Our mission is to build and support high-impact enterprises and entrepreneurs that provide sustainable economic opportunities to millions of people at the base of the economic pyramid. GlobalTrust Funds is a mission-driven public charity that is involved in both international granting and impact investment. We serve a diverse audience in developed nations, frontier, and emerging markets.
The portfolio companies and entrepreneurs that meet our Investment thesis are vital social business organizations in developing countries that empower the poor to be lifted out of poverty. GlobalTrust Funds, through its active engagement and stewardship with social businesses and entrepreneurs, helps in the growth and scaling of these social enterprises utilizing patient capital. The following are the impact areas for fund development and projects:
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Clean Energy
- Healthcare for Women and Children
- Early Childhood Education For All
- Hunger Relief

Innovation and Entrepreneurship
All across the world today, in developing and emerging countries, there are hundreds of millions of young people living in quiet desperation. In most cases, they have finished some level of primary and secondary schooling, yet there is nothing to come after that primary education.
They become part of the "Grey Economy" living on less than $5 a day of earnings, hustling on the streets and the roadways, washing windows, or selling fruit to survive. More is needed to change the economic realities of these underserved communities and lift these young people out of generational poverty.
Together, we can help reshape the future. Whether by investing in GlobalTrust Funds' social impact investment initiatives or issuing grants through your own Donor-Advised Fund, investing in these communities results in more than just quantifiable dividends. Imagine the impact of raising up an entire society by helping to provide the fundamental infrastructure they need for economic development. Imagine what could happen if these communities had a fully staffed training and development center and people who care.

Early Childhood Education
The positive effects of early childhood education reverberate throughout a lifetime. Yet even in developed nations this valuable resource is not always easily accessible. Early education builds a foundation for literacy, mathematics, athletics and the arts, while also providing an opportunity for early identification of various disabilities that begin to present in childhood.
Domestic and International grants can fund new schools and programs in communities in need. Scholarships can be created to sponsor an individual child to attend school, perhaps even for the very first time. To instill a love of learning in a child is to change the trajectory of their entire life. It offers an opportunity for the child to grow into an adult capable of making their own way in the world. Lasting impact can begin with something as simple as a child receiving their first book.
Clean Energy
According to the World Health Organization, close to one billion people in low and, lower-middle-income countries are estimated to be served by healthcare facilities without, reliable electricity or with no electricity access at all. This issue also affects many rural communities in developed nations.
Electricity is crucial for the availability and reliability of essential health services, as well as for bettering overall health and improving outcomes such as safe childbirth, vaccination rates, diagnostic capacity, and emergency response. Access to electricity has become an essential human need.
Providing international grants and impact investing in this vital area serves to improve the lives of hundreds of millions of people vulnerable to the dangers of weak infrastructure. Investing in clean energy is a smart solution to solve this significant problem while being mindful stewards of the environment.

Healthcare for Women and Children
The biological realities of womanhood present with unique concerns and considerations, making healthcare for women and children a primary concern in lesser developed countries. Maternal health refers to the health of women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
The major causes of maternal morbidity and mortality include hemorrhage, infection, high blood pressure, unsafe abortion, and obstructed labor which often occur in subpar facilities or in the home due to poor access to proper health services. Other factors include very early childbearing which brings with it heightened health risks for mothers and their infants.
Early childbearing is also linked to outcomes such as lower educational attainment and poverty. The African Region continues to have the highest birth rate among adolescents with approximately 120 births per 1000 adolescent women.
Increased funding in maternal health services is key to achieving the 2030 United Nations Development Goals.
Hunger Relief
Empowering Communities in Reducing Hunger
Help support farmers and co-ops working to improve sustainable food production capabilities and reduce hunger for vulnerable populations through GlobalTrust Funds’ Social Impact Funding and Domestic and International grants.
It is essential to train farmers in their home countries to realize seed-to-crop improvements and implement regenerative farming techniques. Vital funding support is needed for seeds, fertilizers, farming equipment, and production facilities. GlobalTrust Funds' organizational goal is to fund projects to scale farming operations to increase production with the end goal of becoming self-sufficient.
Together, through your generous donations to your DAF and social impact investment, we have the opportunity to empower global communities to support those who suffer from hunger and lack of proper nutrition.
